White could well be the color of choice this spring, and that is great news as despite the plainness of it as a color, it actually lends itself to a wide variety of styles, especially when it comes to jeans and leggings with matching tops. Need to make it stand out a little more – then again accessorizing with matching colored bag, belt and shoes will give it the zing you want.
Okay, maybe you’re more of a colorful soul and you don’t feel you can pull off an all-white outfit. That doesn’t mean you’ve got to go overboard with the color, just add something a little more subtle and not overpowering to allow the freshness of white to come through.
Perhaps you want to be slightly bolder and make a two-tome statement? Black goes with white as salt does with pepper – long lasting fashionable colors that, combined, create a very striking image. Notice too that on the right the designer wasn’t afraid to buck the trend and included orange footwear. We think that’s a clever touch….
Perhaps you can’t make your mind up between, white, black or blue. There’s no escaping that white remains the predominant theme, but check out your options here. On the left we have unusual, in the middle we have the definite “Wow!” factor, while on the right we have something very stylish but much more conservative.
A bit like denim, there is also another material and pattern that will never go out of style, and that is gingham. Why? Because it is not only timeless, but it is perfect for those who can’t be bothered with the fuss of accessorizing and who like the clothes to do all the talking.
So maybe white will be just too plain for some of you this spring, so why not add some spice to your wardrobe with a rich or vibrant yellow? Think turmeric or saffron, a yellow that has a warmth as well as a depth to it for a striking look.
So what had you got in mind for this spring? Do any of these styles catch your eye? What do your friends think? Maybe you could do some clothes swapping if the budget is tight and you can enjoy seeing how your friends wear and accessorize the clothes you use to wear.
