So many of us care about others and if given the opportunity, we would love to do something to help others, it is in our nature. However, there are those of us who feel that to help we have to do something grand, something that will make a major difference. We often see the biggest hurdle to helping others is a lack of money and that only if we were rich could we make a difference. As you will see from this inspirational video, you don’t have to be rich or make grand gestures to make a difference as even the smallest random act of kindness can have far-reaching consequences.
We can have a greater influence on others around us simply by the way we live our own life. However, that doesn’t mean we have to spend every waking hour looking for good deeds to do, no. It just means being aware of what is going on around us and when the opportunity arises, just going ever so slightly out of our way to make a big difference, often through what is referred to as the ‘butterfly effect’, a phrase first mentioned by Philip Merilees in a talk he gave titled Does the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas?
What Merilees was alluding to is how one small action can ultimately have a far greater overall effect, it just takes that initial action to start things off. This is beautifully demonstrated in this touching video that demonstrates the knock-on effect of simple and random acts of kindness and what can be achieved as a result. We were very moved by the powerful message this video delivered and how inspiring it was in reassuring us that it is the little things that matter just as much in life. As the video says “If you give a little love, you can get a little love of your own.”
Why not inspire your friends with this wonderful message and see what a difference you can make in their lives too?
